G2 Obligatory
![]() |
Written in a
Middle Eastern mode this instrumental was recorded in one take live in the
studio playing two guitars simultaneously. The haunting melody line is based
around a theme I remember vaguely from working with students of
George Gurdjieff in Brighton, England in the 1970's.

The first two verses have a clean almost acoustic sound and were played two handed on the Ibinez RG7. The following three verses were played simultaneously on double guitars, with the Gibson Corvus six string tortured by a little distortion as it sings its haunting melody, that is reflective of both strife in the middle east and the hope of peace in the holy land, and throughout what was once the fertile crescent, the cradle of humanity's beginning.
