Report on the 1998 Event below

On Saturday, July 18 the International Fitness Kickboxing Association and Kick Drugs Out of America presented a Tribute to Chuck Norris, Celebrity Auction and Banquet, at the Ramada Congress Hotel, in Chicago IL.

A full house enjoyed dinner in the company of Mr. Norris and celebrities from television, movies, and the entertainment industry. Before dinner, everyone took part in the auction, featuring valuable items signed by many of the celebrity guests.

After dinner the group was entertained by comedian Tom Dressen, regular Tonight Show guest and Frank Sinatra’s frequent opening act, acclaimed 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s nostalgia group Mickey & the Memories, and direct from the House of Blues, Elvis Impersonator Mark Malanca.

All proceeds from this event, which amounted to over $100,000 will go to support the Kick Drugs Out of America foundation. This organization, founded by Chuck Norris, teaches kids how to avoid drugs, and keep drugs out of their schools, by placing a full-time instructor at public schools to teach kids drug awareness, self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-discipline through the Martial Arts. Thousands of kids have been helped nationwide.
